Speaker Bio

Born and raised in Sacramento, California, Sarah grew up exploring the Sierra Nevada Mountains. She earned a bachelor s degree in Wildlife, Fish and Conservation Biology from UC Davis, and a Master s degree in Environmental Science and Policy from Northern Arizona University. Before coming to TNC, she worked as a biologist for the Arizona Game and Fish Department monitoring endangered fish on the Colorado River and as an environmental consultant completed regulatory compliance documents for land management and infrastructure projects throughout the Southwest. Sarah is currently working to redefine how natural systems and urban communities interact here in New Mexico.
